is not only the name of a remarkable pastry, it is also the story of the beautiful human encounters that have helped to create a legend...
Created by Alexandre Micka and made famous by Brigitte Bardot who was in Saint-Tropez for the filming of the movie "And God Created Woman"
Today, La Tarte Tropézienne is a modern family-owned business run by Albert Dufrêne.

1955

Alexandre Micka settled in Saint Tropez and opened a Bakery-Pastry shop where he served a delicious cream-filled tart.



That same year, during the shooting of Roger Vadim's film "And God Created Woman," Brigitte Bardot discovered this famous tart and told Alexandre Micka that he should call it LA TARTE TROPÉZIENNE ®
1973

On the strength of his success, Alexandre Micka registered the brand and the recipe for La Tarte Tropézienne.
1985

When Alexandre Micka met ALBERT DUFRÊNE, he discovered that they were both passionate about this pastry, so he asked him to join his company.
1991

Albert Dufrêne developed a catering service specializing in motor sports and became the OFFICIAL Caterer of the RENAULT F1 TEAM.

NEW SHOP CONCEPT
A new shop has been opened near the Saint-Raphaël railway station in Toulon, and two new shops have been opened in Aix-en-Provence

A new shop has been opened in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris

LA TARTE TROPÉZIENNE® CELEBRATES ITS 60TH YEAR by hosting a day of celebration in the heart of Saint-Tropez.



A new shop has been opened at Polygone Riviera Corner in the Carrousel du Louvre. New shops have been opened at Megève and at Courchevel 1650 and 1850.
2016

The legendary Places des Lices shop has been renovated and expanded, and now has a restaurant on the second floor and Click & Collect service in the Bakery-Pastry Shop on the ground floor.
